50 Shades!

50 Shades! The Musical, The Original Parody is playing at the Elektra Theatre located at 300 West 43rd St. It runs for one hour thirty minutes with one intermission. It is an open ended run.

The musical is based on the novel “Fifty Shades of Gray” by E. L. James. The show has played in several cities in the United States and Canada.

Pam (Chloe Williamson), Bev (Kaitlyn Frottman) and Carol (Ashley Ward) met at Carol’s home. They decide they should all read Fifty Shades of Gray.

The cast pokes fun of the book. In between the ladies tell each other how the book affects them.

When Anastasia Steele (Amber Pett) meets Christian Gray (Chris Grace) she finds him hot and sexy. Sure, he is so fat well what can I say. She is a little plump.

Two men come out with no shirt on yes they have pants on. You can see they work out. They do dance routine and are part of the ladies fantasies.

Words, gestures are used to insinuate certain actions that are sexual in nature.

Christian points to women in the audience saying I want to F You. One of the women points to one of the men in the audience and tells to get ready for a little action. The audience responds and makes comments.

I did not find this show funny but the audience did. I’ll leave it up to you.
