Monty Navarro (Jeff Kready) is in jail. He is writings his memories called “A Gentleman’s Guide to Murder “or better yet “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder”! Monty proceeds to tell how he came to be in jail

When his mother died, he is visited by Miss Shingle (Jane Carr). She used to know Monty’s mother when she was younger. It seems Monty mother was from a wealthy family, the D’Ysquith. But they disowned her when she married someone out of her class. Monty tries to get in touch with them, but they ignore him.

Sibella Hallward (Lisa O’Hare) is Monty’s love. She loves him too, however she is looking for someone with wealth and social standing.

Monty realizes that there are nine member of his family in line to become Earl before he could. So one by one he kills them. Henry D’Ysquith has a sister Phoebe (Lauren Worsham). Henry dies of bee stings. Monty falls in love with Phoebe and they eventually marry her.

All of the D”Ysquith are played by Jefferson Mays.

How Monty kills them and what happens you will have to see the show.

The costumes were divine.

The set is the best I’ve seen. There are decorations all around the stage. The set is set in. Behind that is another raised stage. When a scene change the curtain comes down on the second stage. Something is happening in the front of that stage. When the curtain opens it is a different setting.

Jane Carr does a splendid job as Miss Shingle. Carole Shelley takes her place after 10/18/14.

Jeff Kready does a fantastic job as Monty. Bryce Pinkham is usually does this role.

Jefferson Mays, well what can I say? He does a remarkable job doing several roles. Each character is better than the other.

This is a must see show.

I not one for comedies but this one I would see again. It was that good.
