Bedbugs!!!

Bedbugs!!! is playing at the ArcLight Theatre located at 152 West 71th Street. The musical runs for two hours five minutes with one intermission. It closes on October 26, 2014.

Carly (Grace McLean) blames herself for her mother’s death. She was listening to Dionne Salon (Brian Charles Rooney) singing on the television. Her mother was screaming when the bed bugs were biting her, and fell out of bed breaking her neck.

As an adult she becomes an exterminator. She develops a poison that will kill them. Her brother Burt (Nicholas Park) has made one too, environmentally safe.

However when Carly kills them they come back large as humans. They start killing every one.

The King bed bug Cimex (Chris Hall) captures Carly and makes her his Queen.

While this is happening news reporter Belinda (Tracey Conyer Lee) announces on the television that the bed bugs are taking over.

Dionne husband Dexter (Danny Bolero) made a deal with Cimex. His wife will give a concert which will draw a large crowd that the bugs will kill. The condition is that Cimex will let the go unharmed.

If they do and what happens, is up to you to see the show.

It is a funny show and campy!

Grace McLean has a great voice and is terrific in the role.

Tracey Conyer Lee, Chris Hall and Brian Charles Rooney do an outstanding job.

The bug costumes are must to see.

I was told the show was supposed to run till October 26 but may be extended or play someplace else. This theatre has 96 seats.
