Puffs

Puffs: or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic is playing at New World Stages located at 340 West 50th Street. It runs one hour forty five minutes with no intermission. The play closes on January 15, 2018.

The Narrator (A. J. Ditty) tells us how Wayne (Zac Moon) comes to be at Hogwarts house. As an infant he is taken away from his parents and given to a couple in Mexico. When he gets old enough to go to school his parents are told he is a wizard and must go to school in London.

All new students must put on a hat. The hat decides which group the students belong to. Wayne and all of the students we meet are Hufflepuffs.

Olivier (Langston Belton) is his best friend. They both like Megan (Julie Ann Earls).

The narrator comes out with a book for each of the seven years they are there. We get to see what happens. The fifth year is the biggest.

Their goal is to get the most points in activities to get an award for best group. Well I won’t tell if they do!

There are four doors on stage which the actors come out of or go around.

Some of the actors do several roles. All do an outstanding job.

This is an enjoyable show for all to see. You don’t have to be a Harry Potter fan to enjoy it.
