Newsical The Musical 2016

Newsical The Musical 2016 is playing at Theatre Row 410 West 42nd Street. It runs one hour fifteen minutes with no intermission. It is an open ended run.

The musical began with a cabaret production in 2002 before moving to Off Broadway in 2004. It was nominated for several Drama Desk Awards for outstanding revues and lyrics (20005, 2009. 2010 and 2011). New songs are added on a continual basis to keep up with the headlines.

The musical makes fun of current events such as Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump.

There is a screen on stage. After each skit a topic comes on the screen, such as Christian Love, on line dating for couples.

Taylor Crousre did a funny skit on Melanie Trump and the speech she is making which is all original. Of course it’s not. Susan Mosher did a funny one on Mother Nature. Michael West was outrageous as Donald Trump. Taylor Cromsore took a shot out Ryan Lochate and his Olympic mess.

These are some of the people and events they made fun of.
