Jill Eikenberry: Songs I've Sung

Jill Eikenberry: Songs I’ve Sung was held at Feinstein’s/ 54 Below located at 254 West 54th Street. The show was on March 6, 2017.

The show is a shortened story of her life and some of the songs she has sung. She just had a birthday two months ago and reached a milestone of 30 plus. She said she decided to do a show about it.

Jill opened the show with the song The Secret of a Life.

She said she has a home in Italy where she spends time there with her husband Michael Tucker. With that cue Michael came on stage. They sang Cabaret in Italian. Dayton Ohio was sung in English.

One fun song sung was My Boyfriend’s Back with back up from the Gay Men’s Chorus.

When James Naughton came on stage they sang Aupres De Feu.

In total she sang thirteen songs.

Jill is amazing, not only does she sing but she plays piano and drums, which she did in two different times. One she played drums another piano but not while singing.

Joining Jill at the piano was her arranger and musical director James Horan. Mike Kuennen was on base and Max Tucker on drums. Max was on stage with his mother playing another instrument for one song.

Not only is Jill a talented actress but a remarkable singer. I was surprised and delighted. She was relaxed on stage and made you feel like you were watching her as a best friend. It was as if she was singing to you.

If you get a chance to see her perform as a singer, don’t miss the opportunity, you won’t be disappointed. You have until March 13, 2017 to see her in Evening at the Talk House at the Signature Theatre , 480 West 42nd Street. She does a little singing in the show.
