Night Is A Room

Night is a Room is playing at the Signature Theatre located at 480 West 42nd Street. It runs two hours with one intermission. The play closes on December 20, 2015.

The setting is Leeds, England.

Liana (Dagmara Dominczyk) is talking to Dore (Ann Dowd) in Dore’s back yard. She spent 2000 lbs to find her. Dore is Liana husband mother. Marcus (Bill Heck) was adopted and never knew who is parents were. Liana thought she would surprise him for his 40th birthday. Dore finally agrees on the meeting on the condition he comes alone.

Liana and Marcus are in there house. Their sex life is great. They have a daughter who is going to school in Chicago. Liana is in advertising and is doing well in her profession. Marcus is a teacher. He tells her he has known who his mother was for the past twelve years but that was all he wanted to know.

It’s been a week since Marcus met his mother. He has been going every night to her house and coming home late. Liana invites Dore over to their home for a visit.

Things happen between the three people that may shock you.

It’s an interesting story but there were too many questions as why the events happened that are never answered. I can understand the consequences but not the reason why the situation accrued?

The show left me pondering after I left.

The acting was exceptional.
